Mets' Bartolo Colon: Starts Friday for the Mets

Colon will start the Mets first game after the All-Star break, Friday against the Phillies, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Colon will be followed by Logan Verrett, Jacob deGrom, Steven Matz and Noah Syndergaard. The Mets were looking to give deGrom, Matz and Syndergaard some additional rest and accomplish this by starting Colon and Verrett the first two games after the break.
