Yankees' Alex Rodriguez: Will take grounders at first base during All-Star break

In an attempt to find more playing time in the second half, Rodriguez plans to take grounders at first base during the All-Star break, Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis:

Rodriguez was out of the lineup nine of the last 10 games, only compiling nine plate appearances during that stretch. Chase Headley has been getting the majority of starts at third base while Carlos Beltran has been the everyday designated hitter. Rodriguez is hitting .244/.348/.423 in 156 at-bats in 2016.
