Blue Jays' Russell Martin: Giving way to Thole on Sunday

Martin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Sportsnet's Shi Davidi reports.

Analysis:

Josh Thole serves as R.A. Dickey's personal catcher, but Martin has otherwise been a regular presence in the lineup, rarely getting days off when other pitchers take the mound for Toronto. Martin started eight of the previous nine games, and while his numbers for the year still look ugly, he's been his usual productive self since mid-May.
