Mets congratulate Colon on AS selection with epic HR video

New York Mets / Twitter

Bartolo Colon is heading to the 2016 All-Star Game to replace Madison Bumgarner, and the significance of his return to San Diego hasn't been lost on his New York Mets.

On May 7, the last time "Big Sexy" pitched at Petco Park, Colon destroyed an off-speed pitch by James Shields (then with the San Diego Padres) to collect the first-ever home run of his 19-year career.

With Friday's announcement of Colon's All-Star nod, the Mets created the perfect video to commemorate Colon's legendary return to San Diego.
