Cubs' Jason Heyward: Drives in two in blowout win
It was Heyward's idea to move down to sixth in the batting order, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Heyward's thinking was to provide an experienced bat among all of the rookies near the bottom of the lineup, but he may be trying to get his own bat going as well. He went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in a blowout win Monday, so the experiment worked at least in the first game. Heyward is slashing just .235/.325/.326 this season and has been the biggest disappointment on the Cubs in 2016.
