Cubs' Jason Heyward: Batting sixth Monday

Heyward will be bumped down to sixth in the order for Monday's matchup against the Reds.

Analysis:

Heyward has hit out of the two-spot in three straight games, and 66 total games this year. The outfielder has even dabbled in the leadoff role, but he'll move all the way down to sixth Monday afternoon. After a dreadfully slow start, Heyward has been a bit better at the plate of late, but still owns just a .697 OPS since June 1. It's unclear at this time if this shuffle can be attributed to one of manager Joe Maddon's unique lineups, or if the Cubs are beginning to test out a longer-term idea for their batting order.
