Pirates' Jung Ho Kang: Out of lineup Friday

Kang is not in the lineup for Friday's tilt with Oakland.

Analysis:

Kang's absence will mark his third game off in the Pirates' last six. David Freese will start at third base, batting fifth, in his place. Kang has been mired in a slump since the middle of June, slashing .167/.255/.333 over his last 42 at-bats.
