Orioles' Caleb Joseph: Activated from disabled list

Joseph (groin) was activated from the DL on Thursday, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Analysis:

He will return to his role as backup to Matt Wieters with Francisco Pena optioned to Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. While Joseph managed 28 extra-base hits in 100 games with the big club last year, he has just two in 23 games this year (both doubles), resulting in a dismal .030 isolated power mark.
