White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Misses chance to pick up third win
Rondon (2-6) pitched 5.2 innings, allowing four runs, five hits and one walk while striking out six in a no-decision Thursday against the Twins.
Analysis:
Rodon retired the first 11 Twins hitters he faced before Robbie Grossman and Brian Dozier launched back-to-back homers in the fourth inning. Rodon pitched a perfect fifth, but the Twins scored two in the sixth on three hits and chased Rodon from the game. The White Sox built up a 5-2 lead against Twins starter Tommy Milone by scoring one run in the second, one in the third and three in the fourth, but Rodon was unable to capitalize on the opportunity to win his third game of the season. He'll take a disappointing 4.24 ERA and 1.46 WHIP into his next start Tuesday against the Yankees.
