White Sox's Tyler Saladino: Highly productive out of nine-hole Wednesday
Saladino went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs in Wednesday's 9-6 victory over the Twins.
Analysis:
The 26-year-old notched his first hit since June 18, and first multi-hit effort since June 14, which was also the date of his last homer. Saladino has the ability to back up all four infield positions, so he has enjoyed semi-regular playing time, particularly at third base. Following Wednesday's production, he's slashing .259/.293/.426 on the season over 108 at-bats, with three doubles, five homers, 20 RBI and three stolen bases.
