Kendrys Morales dusted off his glove and took to the outfield for the first time in eight years Wednesday, and he didn't look rusty at all.

Morales made a nice running grab in the third inning to rob St Louis Cardinals slugger Matt Carpenter of what looked to be a sure hit.

The Kansas City Royals' 33-year-old designated hitter then tipped his cap to an excited group of teammates on the bench.

According to Statcast, Morales' route efficiency on the play was 96.7 percent, he covered 90 feet, and his top speed was 16.7 mph.

Morales was forced into playing defense with Lorenzo Cain hitting the disabled list and Whit Merrifield and Paulo Orlando both needing a day off.
