Diamondbacks' Peter O'Brien: Out of Wednesday's lineup
O'Brien is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies.
Analysis:
Nobody questions O'Brien's raw power, but he has had a tough time getting to it in games, as big league pitchers have been exploiting the holes in his swing. O'Brien has a .125 average and 18 strikeouts in 40 career at-bats against righties, while hitting four homers with a .261 average in 23 at-bats against southpaws. It would not be surprising if he started sitting more frequently when right-handers are on the mound for the opponent. Brandon Drury will get the start in left field Wednesday and hit seventh.
