Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson was forced to leave Tuesday's contest against the Milwaukee Brewers in the eighth inning with a right shoulder injury after slamming into the center-field wall.

Pederson crashed into the fence after a marvelous effort tracking down a Chris Carter fly ball. He laid on the warning track in quite a bit of pain while teammate Howie Kendrick waited by his side for training staff.

Pederson remained on the ground for several minutes, clutching at his shoulder while a trainer attended to him.

He later walked off the field under his own power while holding his right arm to his chest.

MLB.com's Ken Gurnick later reported Pederson avoided a fracture, but did bruise the A/C joint in his shoulder. He's listed as day to day.

Pederson was hitting .235/.326/.478 with 13 home runs and 32 RBIs coming into Tuesday's game.
