Mets' Curtis Granderson: Leaves Tuesday as precaution following rain delay

Granderson was removed from Tuesday's game following a 85-minute rain delay as a precaution, as he had trouble getting loose, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.

Analysis:

There was also some speculation that the veteran outfielder may have injured his elbow making a catch against the outfield wall prior to the delay, so owners will want to be sure to check his status prior to deploying him Wednesday. Alejandro De Aza, who replaced Granderson on Tuesday, would figure to see the bulk of the playing time in right field if Granderson had to miss further time.
