The Los Angeles Dodgers placed center fielder Joc Pederson on the 15-day disabled list Friday, three days after the 24-year-old bruised the A/C joint in his right shoulder slamming into the outfield wall at Miller Park.

Pederson was considered day to day after an X-ray revealed no broken bones, but the former All-Star hasn't played since leaving Tuesday's game in the eighth.

"I can't really put deodorant on," Pederson told Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday. "It was tough to get dressed. But that's all expected."

Pederson, an All-Star last year in his rookie season, owns an .804 OPS (117 OPS+) with 13 home runs and 16 doubles through 75 games in 2016, managing the sixth-most WAR (1.4) among National League center fielders.

In a corresponding move, the Dodgers promoted Will Venable from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
