Padres' Luis Perdomo: Takes loss despite quality start Sunday

Perdomo (2-3) allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings Sunday, striking out five, but took the loss against the Reds.

Analysis:

It's his second quality start in four outings since Perdomo was moved into the rotation, although his 5.96 ERA over that stretch is a better reflection of how he's pitched. The Padres don't have many other options at the moment, but with two days off next week they could elect to skip Perdomo's turn rather than have him pitch Sunday at home against the Yankees.
