Marlins' Jose Fernandez: Whiffs 13 Cubs in Sunday's win

Fernandez (10-3) struck out 13 over seven innings Sunday while giving up just one run on four hits and three walks in a win over the Cubs.

Analysis:

He generated an incredible 23 swinging strikes in 108 pitches to record his sixth double-digit strikeout game of the season. Fernandez's 138 strikeouts on the season are already a new franchise record for strikeouts before the All-Star break, and he'll get two more chances to pad that total, including Saturday's start in Atlanta.
