Dodgers' A.J. Ellis: Not in Sunday's lineup

Ellis is out of the lineup Sunday against the Pirates, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

Analysis:

Ellis typically catches Sunday's starter, Clayton Kershaw, but the Dodgers will instead start Yasmani Grandal behind the plate Sunday evening. Ellis did get the start on Saturday night in Pittsburgh and went 2-for-3 at the dish, but no word of an injury has surfaced since then. Whether or not Ellis starts the next time Kershaw takes the hill is a situation worth monitoring.
