Odor fools Pedroia with slick slide into 2nd

MLB.com

Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor looked like a sitting duck during a steal attempt against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, but an elusive slide made Dustin Pedroia look silly.

During the second inning of the contest, Odor looked to be a sure out after Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez unloaded a cannon to Pedroia at second, but Odor pulled out his best matador impression, lifting his arm in an ole motion at the exact right time to successfully steal the bag.

Pedroia nodded to a confused Vazquez after the play, letting him know Odor was indeed safe. The look on Vazquez's face showed his obvious displeasure.

It was the 13th stolen base Vazquez has allowed this season in 21 attempts.
