Red Sox's David Price: Lasts 2.1 innings Friday

Price (8-4) allowed six runs on 12 hits while striking out one over 2.1 innings Friday but escaped with a no-decision in Friday's win over the Rangers.

Analysis:

Price gave up runs in each of the three innings he took the mound, leaving the game with a 6-0 deficit, but the offense came all the way back to take him off the hook for a potential loss. His rough outing broke a string of eight straight quality starts, and his ERA moved up to 4.68. He'll make his next start Wednesday at the Rays.
