Nationals' Max Scherzer: Strikes out 10 in losing effort
Scherzer (8-5) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out 10 over six innings to take the loss Friday at the Brewers.
Analysis:
Scherzer went into the fifth inning with a one-run lead, but gave up a pair of homers which led to his fifth loss of the season. This was the first time he failed to post a quality start in five outings and his ERA is now at 3.52. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Mets.
