Red Sox's Heath Hembree: Bigger role ahead?

Hembree pitched out of a bases-loaded, no-out situation in Thursday's win over the White Sox.

Analysis:

With Boston's setup men -- Koji Uehara and Junichi Tazawa -- showing cracks lately, manager John Farrell turned to Hembree in the eighth inning of a tie game. His work, largely in middle relief, has been good for Boston in 2016, but we'll need to see more than one high-leverage outing to anoint him as a setup savior. After all, he did pitch himself into the jam, and lefties are hitting .465/.511/.674 against him this season.
