Baez nearly nabs Realmuto with outstanding play

Had the call on the field stood, this would've been a sensational out. Regardless, it was an amazing play.

In Thursday night's game between the Chicago Cubs and Miami Marlins, J.T. Realmuto hit a grounder to Javier Baez's left at third base.

After attempting a sliding catch, he deflected it straight up in the air. As the ball hung up there, he stayed on the ground, caught it with his bare hand, and fired a bullet to first for the out.

The Marlins challenged the play and the call on the field was overturned.
