Diaz went 3-for-4 with his a two-run homer, one walk and two runs scored against the Cubs on Wednesday.
Analysis:
His ninth home run of the season was a two-run blast in the sixth that practically put the game away. Entering the series, the rookie shortstop's average had dipped below .300 for the first time all season. He's now back up to .310 after going 6-for-11 with three walks, three RBI and three runs in the set at Wrigley.
