Orioles' Brian Duensing: Lands on DL with elbow inflammation

Duensing was placed on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with left elbow inflammation, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.

Analysis:

The veteran was sent in for tests on his pitching elbow Tuesday, and it appears his injury is severe enough to warrant a stint on the disabled list. There is no timetable for his return at this point, but given the nature of elbow injuries for pitchers, the Orioles are unlikely to rush him back into action. Baltimore recalled lefty reliever Ashur Tolliver in a corresponding move Wednesday.
