Rays' Steve Pearce: Likely to miss at least three weeks

Pearce (hamstring) is expected to miss at least three weeks, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Pearce was placed on the 15-day DL earlier Tuesday, and the club is now sending him back to Tampa to undergo an MRI. The results will likely determine the severity of the ailment and the next steps in his recovery so a clearer timetable should become available then, but for now, it appears as though Pearce will likely be out until after the All-Star break.
