Rays' Mikie Mahtook: Could return in six weeks

Mahtook received good news Tuesday as the exam showed a non-displaced fracture in his left hand, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

With no surgery required, Mahtook could return to the field in six weeks. This would allow him to return sometime in early August. Mahtook has struggled this season with the Rays, hitting only .154 with two extra-base hits in 65 at-bats.
