Astros' Carlos Correa: Homers in win over Angels
Correa hit his 10th home run as part of a 2-for-3 game with two runs scored and three RBI in Monday's win over the Angels.
Analysis:
Correa's power is down this season, but the 21-year-old is still one of just seven major league shortstops in double-digits in 2016. He's still showing solid plate discipline, too, with a 12.5 percent walk rate. The main reason Correa's numbers have been down thus far is a 24.4 percent strikeout rate, up six points from 2015. It figures that major league pitchers would adjust to Correa a bit -- if he can make the counter-adjustments necessary to start making consistent contact again, he'll be right back to where he was in his brilliant rookie campaign last year.
