Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Wins seventh straight Saturday

Greinke (10-3) pitched eight innings of three-hit ball in a 4-1 victory over the Phillies on Saturday. He surrendered an earned run and a walk while striking out six.

The D-backs ace was highly efficient, needing just 94 pitches to breeze through the outing. Greinke displayed pinpoint control, notching first-pitch strikes on 21 of 28 hitters and inducing 18 swinging strikes overall. The 32-year-old had brought his ERA down from 5.26 to 3.54 during his current seven-start winning streak, and will attempt to keep his momentum going next Thursday in Coors Field versus the Rockies.
