Royals' Alex Gordon: Set for rehab stint Sunday

Gordon (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment Sunday at Double-A Northwest Arkansas.

Analysis:

Placed on the DL nearly a month ago, Gordon is nearing the end of his rehab from a sprained right wrist. Manager Ned Yost intimated earlier in the week that he wants Gordon to get 20-25 at-bats during this stint, so he'll likely play in at least five or six games between Double-A and Triple-A before returning to the Royals.
