Blue Jays' Edwin Encarnacion: Keeps raking with sixth homer in six games

Encarnacion blasted off again Thursday, going 2-for-4 with his 18th homer, a walk, four RBI and two runs against the Phillies.

Analysis:

He's been on an unbelievable power bender over the last six games, averaging a homer per game while driving in an absurd 14 runs. Encarnacion's stats were lingering in mediocrity for much of this season, which may have given the impression that he was starting to break down at age 33, but that's clearly not the case. He's boosted his OPS by more than 100 points with this run of dominance and taken over the MLB lead in RBI all by himself with a whopping 61 in 68 games.
