- LAUSANNE, Switzerland - Olympic leaders call for drug-testing of Russian and Kenyan athletes across all sports. Door opens for some Russians in track to compete in Rio de Janeiro under their own flag.

- SYDNEY - Two members of the Australian Paralympic sailing squad are robbed at gunpoint in Rio, prompting Australia's Olympic team leader to urge Brazil to implement Olympic-scale security now.

- HOUSTON - The U.S. plays top-ranked Argentina and five-time FIFA Player of the Year Lionel Messi in a Copa America semifinal. The winner plays Chile or Colombia for the title. Game starts 9 p.m.

- Four Euro 2016 games in France: Northern Ireland vs. Germany at Paris (noon); Ukraine vs. Poland at Marseille (noon); Croatia vs. Spain at Bordeaux (3 p.m.); Czech Republic vs. Turkey at Lens (3 p.m.).

- NICE, France - Russia completes a dismal stay at the European Championship. The 2018 World Cup host drew more attention in France for its hooligans than its soccer.

- OAKLAND, Calif. - The Golden State Warriors have eight free agents and are bracing for change to a team that won a record 73 games before falling short of a second straight title.

- EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - Luke Walton has some catching up to do at his new job. The Los Angeles Lakers' next coach finally arrives from Golden State, days before his downtrodden franchise picks in the draft.

- BOSTON - With eight picks in Thursday night's NBA draft, the Boston Celtics are in position to reshape themselves and possibly become a force again the Eastern Conference.

- ARLINGTON, Texas - The Texas Rangers go for their eighth win in a row, and Colby Lewis looks to improve to 7-0 when the AL's top team opens a two-game set against the Cincinnati Reds. Game starts 8:05 p.m.

- NEW YORK - In a World Series rematch, Noah Syndergaard goes for his sixth straight victory when the New York Mets face Ian Kennedy and the Kansas City Royals. Game starts 7:10 p.m.

- BOSTON - Chris Sale, struggling of late, tries to become the first 12-game winner in the majors when the Chicago White Sox face the Boston Red Sox. Game starts 7:10 p.m.

- Auston Matthews, widely considered the top prospect in this year's NHL draft, is from an area where hockey hasn't been widely played: suburban Phoenix.

- ASHBURN, Va. - NFL teams are trying to cut down on fumbles by practicing with beeping footballs. Several teams used them during the offseason and reported improvement.

- Two College World Series games in Omaha, Neb.: Texas Tech vs. Florida (5 p.m.) and TCU vs. Coastal Carolina (9 p.m.).
