Pirates' David Freese: Improving, still out Saturday
Freese (hand) is not available for Saturday's game against the Angels, Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune reports.
Analysis:
Freese left Thursday's game after being hit on the hand by a pitch, and while he said he's improving, the third baseman will remain on the bench Saturday for the second straight day. The good news, though, is it looks like he'll avoid a DL stint and could return to availability as soon as Sunday.
