Edwin Encarnacion absolutely loves playing at Fenway Park.
The Toronto Blue Jays slugger got the better of former teammate David Price on Friday in Boston, taking the southpaw deep in his first at-bat.
The two-run home run also scored Jose Bautista, who has had his own substantial success hitting at the Boston Red Sox's home ground entering Friday's contest:
Player | AVG | OBP | SLG | HR |
---|---|---|---|---|
Bautista | .277 | .366 | .598 | 22 |
Encarnacion | .296 | .370 | .527 | 12 |
The pair's prosperity in Boston may be influential in their respective free-agency decisions this offseason, as a report surfaced Thursday claiming both are eyeing the Red Sox as a potential landing spot for the 2017 season.
