Freese (hand) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Angels.

Analysis:

It's uncertain if this absence is indeed injury related, as Freese isn't quite an everyday player for the Pirates anymore. That said, he was hit by a pitch on the hand Thursday and will be worth monitoring until he returns to the field.
