Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa left Thursday's contest in the fifth inning against the Texas Rangers after rolling his ankle while stepping on first base.

Correa was checked on by trainers after running out a grounder. He was taken out of the game after walking to the dugout under his own power.

Tony Kemp came in as his replacement and moved to second base, while Jose Altuve shifted to shortstop for the first time in his career.

The 2015 American League Rookie of the Year was hitting .254/.347/.422 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs prior to Thursday's game.
