Mets' David Wright: Not in Tuesday's lineup
Wright (neck) is not in the Mets' lineup Tuesday against the White Sox, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
Analysis:
Wright was diagnosed Monday with a herniated disc in his neck, and at this point it seems likely that a DL stint could be in the veteran's future. The Mets have not announced their intentions yet, however, and the team appears content to wait a bit longer to make a decision after Wright received a pain-killing injection in his neck, which will require a couple of days to take effect. Wilmer Flores will get the start at third base Tuesday, and he'll bat seventh in the order.
