Rockies' Nick Hundley: Embarks upon rehab assignment

Hundley (oblique) left Denver on Sunday night to begin a rehab assignment, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Hundley has been making slow and steady progress, most recently swinging a bat in the cages for the first time since landing on the DL. If his rehab assignment goes as planned, manager Walt Weiss indicated he could return to action by next week.
