White Sox's Austin Jackson: Leaves with turf toe

Jackson left Sunday's game early due to turf toe, Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Jackson was replaced by Jerry Sands on Sunday after going 1-for-3 with two RBI. Just as Jackson seemed to be breaking out of a slump, he'll catch an incredibly tough break, as this is the type of ailment with no tried and true treatment method. He'll likely find himself playing through discomfort quite a bit, and may need more routine days off than normal. Until the White Sox release more information, consider Jackson day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener against the Mets.
