Twins' Robbie Grossman: Solidifying himself as everyday left fielder

Grossman will draw the start in left field and bat fifth in the order Sunday against the Mariners, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Analysis:

It's the ninth straight start for Grossman, who seems to have at this point established himself as manager Paul Molitor's preferred option in left field over Oswaldo Arcia. While he doesn't offer the same contributions in the power department as Arcia, Grossman is fleet of foot and has shown some strong on-base skills during his stint with the club. Grossman has recorded either a walk or a hit in all eight of his previous starts, posting a .500 on-base percentage to go with a homer, three doubles and six RBI.
