Brewers' Ryan Braun: Sits second straight game Sunday
Braun remains out of the starting lineup Sunday against the Reds, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis:
Braun had made it into the lineup for five straight games heading into Saturday, where he was given what was thought to be a routine day of rest. Now sitting for the second straight day, it's possible the back issues that troubled him earlier in the season are returning, and manager Craig Counsell is continuing to take a conservative approach. With trade rumors featuring Braun starting to heat up, it certainly makes sense to rest the regular left fielder as needed.
