Padres' Tyson Ross: Could resume throwing next week
Ross (shoulder) could resume throwing next week, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Analysis:
The right-hander has been shut down from throwing for well over a month, but Ross went through weighted-ball drills Friday and manager Andy Green said afterward that Ross will pick up a baseball "very soon." Green acknowledged that a return before the All-Star break for Ross is highly unlikely.
