Pirates' John Jaso: Out of the lineup Thursday

Jaso is out of the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Diamondbacks, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Jaso will sit out against the Diamondbacks in favor of David Freese at first base in order to fill the lineup with more right-handers against lefty starter Patrick Corbin. Jaso has just seven at-bats against lefties in 2016. Jaso's leadoff spot in the lineup will be filled by Jordy Mercer.
