Pirates' David Freese: Clubs third homer this season

Freese went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Analysis:

Freese has hit safely in six of the past 10 games, but he hasn't displayed a lot of extra-base power. The homer -- a monstrous 451-foot shot -- proved to be the difference against Arizona. He continues to give Pittsburgh a viable option at third base when Jung-Ho Kang can't play while also serving as a first-base platoon partner with John Jaso.
