Rockies' Jason Motte: Set to make Rockies debut either Wednesday or Thursday

Motte will likely join the Rockies' bullpen either Wednesday or Thursday during Colorado's series against the Red Sox, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Motte pitched in back-to-back games earlier in the week, which left him unavailable for a return for Tuesday's series opener, but the 33-year-old reliever said that his arm is feeling great. As long as nothing out of the ordinary happens, Motte should rejoin the team before the current series concludes. Manager Walt Weiss does see him as an option to set up for closer Jake McGee, but Weiss wants to "ease him in" before putting him into high-leverage situations. That being said, Motte should eventually be an integral part of the Rockies' bullpen if he stays healthy, giving him a decent amount of value in leagues that count holds.
