Karns gave up three runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision Tuesday against Oakland.

Analysis:

Karns induced eight groundball outs but induced just six swinging strikes in 89 pitches. Coco Crisp touched him up for a solo home run, the sixth he has allowed this season but the first since he gave up two in his last start against the A's on May 2. Karns has gone over six innings just once this season, but he owns a sharp 51:20 K:BB in 51 innings to go with a 3.53 ERA.
