White Sox's Chris Sale: Takes first loss against Cleveland

Sale (9-1) allowed six runs on seven hits and four walks with seven strikeouts as he lasted just 3.1 innings in a loss Tuesday against Cleveland.

Analysis:

Sale's season had been nearly perfect and he was bound to slip up at some point. This marks his first start all season in which he has failed to go at least five innings or hold his opponent to three runs or fewer, and just the second time an opponent has scored more than one run off him since April 9. Sale was still nasty -- he drew nine swinging strikes in striking out seven -- but he was wild all day and caught too much of the plate when he could find the zone. He'll look to get back on track Sunday against Kansas City.
