Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman: Homers against Mets

Zimmerman went 2-for-4 with a solo homer Tuesday against the Mets.

Analysis:

Despite the home run, Zimmerman's .418 slugging percentage is still a career low. The 31-year-old slugger isn't all he used to be, but he still holds value due in part to his placement in the lineup behind potential MVP candidates Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy. If the veteran somehow managed to raise his game back to the level he exhibited in prior seasons, the heart of Washington's lineup would become terrifying to opposing pitchers.
