Watch: Stanton snaps funk with laser HR

Pfft. What slump?

Giancarlo Stanton, mired in a 6-for-55 (.109) stretch with just one homer in his previous 15 games, snapped his recent funk in, well, Stantonian fashion Tuesday at Marlins Park, smoking a laser-beam solo shot to left off Tampa Bay Rays left-hander Enny Romero in the bottom of the sixth to cut the Marlins' deficit to two.

According to Statcast, Stanton's homer - just his second since May 7 - traveled an estimated 409 feet with an exit velocity of 109 miles per hour, his eighth-hardest hit long ball of 2016.
