Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Placed on 15-day DL

Choo (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL retroactive to May 21, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Analysis:

Choo will be out at least 15 days and the Rangers will call up Jared Hoying in his place. After hitting .276/.375/.463 with 22 home runs and 82 RBI in 2015, the 33-year-old has struggled to get anything going this season, hitting just .188 with no home runs and one RBI through six games while constantly battling injury.
